Charmaine Wolhuter fell in love with clay while studying at the Pretoria Technicon in the late 70”a and years ago had the opportunity to attend pottery classes with Gail de Klerk. Currently working from her home studio in Greymont Hills, Johannesburg, Charmaine produces functional ware – both hand and wheel work, mostly in earthenware and stoneware. Charmaine is a part time potter, evenings and weekends, and holds down a full time job at the University of Witwatersrand. She has a passion for clay and participates in all the Ceramic SA Gauteng markets. Charmaine runs a small pottery class one night a week for adults wanting to play with clay.
