After finishing my Fine Art Diploma at the Durban Institute of Technology in 1985, I worked in the Film and Television Industry for about 22 years.
During this time I worked on many local and international films and commercials heading up a variety of departments including Special Effects Make-up, Scenic Painting, Art Directing and Sculpting.
On deciding to change careers I was drawn to complete a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Ceramic Design at the University of Johannesburg in 2008.
I have always had a passion for clay and working from my studio in the scenic Magaliesburg, I am inspired to explore different clay mediums from Bone China vessels to Paperclay sculptural figures.
My work has been represented on many Ceramic Regional and National Exhibitions. At the 2009 Gauteng Regional Exhibition I was awarded the Potters Supply and Mail Order award for my Bone China Vessels by Judge Wilma Cruise.
