My interest in clay began in the 1970’s and over this time I have explored a range of clays and forming methods.  I find particular pleasure in burnished low fired techniques but have now moved on  to high temperature electric firings and am currently experimenting with coloured inlays and stained porcelain, creating agate and marbled effects in thrown and hand built vessels.

I have participated in numerous group and CSA exhibitions, both nationally and locally, where I have received Highly Commended and Merit Awards.   I was part of the Madiba Bay Studio Potters group whose National Arts Festival exhibition was invited to tour Holland.  My work is represented in the collection of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum.

In 2008 I was instrumental in the establishment of the Bay Ceramic Group which led to the reforming of the Eastern Cape branch of Ceramics Southern Africa in 2010, and serve on the committee.
