Richard Pullen

I discovered the magic of clay at the age of 15 at Johan Carinus Art Centre in Grahamstown. I went on to receive a Nat. Dip in Ceramic Design from the then Port Elizabeth Technikon in 1997.

My lecturers were a huge positive influence on me and I was lucky to study under Charmaine Haines , Lynnley Watson and Meshack Masuku.

In 1998 I opened a successful studio in the quaint and quirky historical village of Bathurst where I divide my time between functional ceramics and personal explorations and experimentations in clay.

My Studio Shop and upstairs Gallery are open 6 days a week and visitors are free to interact while watching the work in process.
